Think of all of the things you strive to teach your children. You teach them teach your children. You teach them how to tie their shoes, play well with others, and ride a bicycle. To instill good habits and discipline, you probably require that they keep their room clean. As they grow older, you teach them more complex life lessons and value systems. How much time and energy do you spend teaching these things? In most families, it's a lot. Often, financial education is an afterthought, if it even comes to mind at all.
