INGREDIENTS | YIELD: 1 QUART

  • 3 cups pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • ⅔ cup sugar
  1. Combine the juices and sugar in a saucepan over medium-low heat in a saucepan until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat.

  4. Remove from freezer, and stir the frozen crystals into the center of the container with a fork.

  5. Return the container to the freezer, and repeat the process every 30–45 minutes, stirring carefully each time, until you have a fully frozen container of crystallized granita.

Quite a Fruit

More scientific research is being done on the pomegranate than practically any other fruit, due to its incredible health benefits. Studies show the pomegranate has been found to reduce bad cholesterol, reduce heart disease, protect against some cancers, and aid in oral health.
