Develop Your Creative Gifts

You may already excel in one or more creative area. You may be looking to find a creative outlet for yourself. Whatever your level of development, if you want your natural abilities to grow, you must cultivate them. Sadly, many people with natural creative gifts never give themselves the opportunity to reach their potential. To develop that potential, your mind, body, and soul need to be in tune with your three minds: conscious, unconscious, and universal consciousness.

Choose Your Creative Outlet

Even if you don't consciously know what your creative gifts are and how they can be used, your unconscious mind may already know. Self-hypnosis can help you communicate with your intuitive, unconscious mind. To experience self-hypnosis, find a comfortable position, loosen your clothing, take a deep breath, exhale, and let your eyes go out of focus. Let the muscles in your body relax, close your eyes, and in a moment count slowly down from five to zero. Suggest to yourself that when you reach zero, you will feel calm and relaxed, and you will let your unconscious mind evaluate the creative gifts you have been given, so you can understand how they may be developed and shared.

How can I find my natural creative ability?

Take note of the creative activities that you do automatically. Maybe you doodle, sketch, hum, whistle, drum with your fingers, imagine stories, write letters or poetry, arrange flowers or furniture, study people, cook, or surround yourself with healing smells. These are all natural creative abilities.

Suggest that you will go deeper and deeper into hypnosis with each count. When you reach zero, allow yourself to feel calm, relaxed, and open to your unconscious mind's communication. Suggest that even after you count back up to the surface of your mind, you will remain open to the messages from your unconscious mind. When you're ready, count yourself back up to five, then take a deep breath, open your eyes, and feel comfortable and relaxed. Now allow yourself to be open to the creativity of your unconscious mind.

You may try self-hypnosis just before going to sleep, and suggest that when you wake up, you will have answers about how to develop and share your creative gifts. You can also call on your belief system for help. Suggest that when you are in your trance, the universal mind will provide inspiration and direction about how to develop and share your creative gifts. Tell yourself that you will always be on the lookout for the universal mind's directions. Once you start asking your belief system for guidance, answers can come from anywhere, such as a conversation with a friend or even a chance meeting with someone you don't know.

When you are thinking about or immersed in a creative project, always have a means of capturing the ideas that pop out of your unconscious mind. Keep a pad of notepaper, a sketchbook, or a tape recorder near you at all times, even after you have gone to bed at night.

Self-hypnosis works hand in hand with your belief system. The more you use your trance to ask for help and guidance, the more you will be amazed at what materializes around you to help you find your direction. As you have previously learned, you develop a habit by constant repetition of an action. Instant self-hypnotic anchors can help you develop the habit of constantly being in touch with the unconscious and universal minds. The more you are open to this communication, the easier it will be to stay in tune with your creative gifts.

Set Your Goals

Once you know the kind of creative ability you want to develop, it is time to set goals to help it grow. Start with small, realistic, and reachable goals. The first step is to practice self-hypnosis to create a communication link with all three of your minds. Next investigate how to begin to nurture your creativity. You may want to check the Internet, read a book, take a class, or join a group of like-minded individuals.

What materials do you need to get started? What will it cost to begin and sustain your development? Can you afford to spend what you need to develop your creative abilities? If not, you may seek financial aid or scholarships, or investigate bartering or trading work for your studies. The more you can believe that your creative gifts are meant to be shared, the more you will be open to the miracles that can make it happen.

When you make a commitment to develop your creative talent, it is possible that friends or family may feel left out. It does take time and hard work to strive toward your goal, so make your journey easier by asking for permission from others and keeping them up-to-date on your quest. To establish your creative habit, you will need time, space, and a regular routine. You will need patience and an understanding that the creative flow is never quite the same from one day to the next. Through self-hypnosis, suggest to yourself that you will have a positive and unique experience every time you are open to your creative gifts.
