Hiring Family Members
Most companies that have policies about hiring family members limit it to prohibiting someone from supervising her own family member, as it can be seen as a conflict of interest to do so. This doesn't mean that a relative of a supervisor or manager cannot work elsewhere in the company. The key is that the two do not work in the same department with one supervising the other. It is common for relatives of anyone in human resources or who has access to payroll and personnel records to be ineligible for employment at the same company.
