Although building your own house may seem like a tremendous responsibility — and it certainly is — you can do it and enjoy the finished product with pride. It is not as difficult as you might think. Take your time to feel comfortable with the process. Building new is not any more difficult, and sometimes can be easier, than rehabbing a home. By building, you can do your own space planning. You can choose your own finishes, like flooring, windows, colors, lighting, and fixtures. Take the step with care, and you will be amazed at what you will end up with.
