If You Have a Liquor Cabinet

Whether you have a stand-alone liquor cabinet or a wine rack built into your buffet or credenza, keep all of your related supplies together in one area. In addition to the actual bottles of wine and liquor, some of the supplies you'll want on hand in or near your liquor cabinet include a bottle opener, bottle stoppers, cocktail napkins, cocktail shaker, corkscrew, decanter, foil cutter, ice bucket, pitcher, wine glasses, shot glasses, and a bartender's mixing guide. Some wine racks have special shelves or cabinets to store these accessories.

By paying special attention to how you arrange and keep your dining space, you can create a room that has ambiance, charm, and order. The more care you put into making your dining room lovely, the more joy you will find in the meals you share there with your family and friends. This joy can extend to other areas of your life as well. As Virginia Woolf said, “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.”
