A Work in Progress
As you begin to better manage your home and time, keep in mind that many things are works in progress. Don't become distressed when things do not go as you'd hoped. As with any major project, there will be setbacks, failures, and unanticipated challenges. If you know that you will hit many bumps along the way, you will be less likely to let them deter you for any length of time.
As you begin to experience the rewards of a more ordered home and schedule, you might find that these aspects of your life become increasingly easy to maintain because they have built-in rewards. It feels good to have a sense of a reasonably ordered life, especially in the face of all of life's uncertainties.
As you develop your methods and slowly become more organized, you'll periodically want to assess your systems and see what is working and what isn't. Sometimes, something that worked well for several months will no longer work well. Be flexible with yourself, and modify your systems (and your goals) depending on the real circumstances you find yourself in.
