Drogo Doppel Maibock

The Germans may not have a doppel-helles bock, but you can. Named for Saint Drogo, a holy hermit who survived on barley, water, and the Eucharist for forty years.

Style: Maibock/Helles Bock

Brew Type: All Grain

For 5.5 gallons at 1.091, 5.6 SRM, 36.8IBUs, 9.1 percent ABV

60-minute boil

Directions

Follow the Single-Infusion Brew Process.

TIP

Originally sourced from Ayinger brewery, the German bock yeast was traded around the community. What was originally a seasonal yeast got voracious support and became available year round.
