Old Rasty

North Coast Brewing's Old Rasputin drinks dangerously well for a 9 percent ABV beer. It should come with warning labels. The old Toms hashed out the recipe for this beer over a number of sessions and came up with this recipe that tastes the same.

Style: Russian Imperial Stout

Brew Type: All Grain

For 5.5 gallons at 1.095, 54.7 SRM, 96.9IBUs, 8.8 percent ABV

90-minute boil

Directions

Follow the Single-Infusion Brew Process.

TIP

Tom insists on the use of dark candi sugar in the recipe, claiming that anything else tastes wrong. Whether or not this is true for you is all a matter of taste.
