Brutal Bittered

Rogue has a funny habit of forgetting style conventions when creating new beers, but their American “bitter” ale, Brutal Bitter, is a hit no matter what you call it. To make this beer, Rogue dominates the Crystal hop market.

Style: American Pale Ale

Brew Type: All Grain

For 5.5 gallons at 1.062, 5.5 SRM, 61.3IBUs, 6.1 percent ABV

60-minute boil

Directions

Follow the Single-Infusion Brew Process.

TIP

Rogue Brewing has a long history of supporting homebrewers. Try their unique “Pacman” yeast; buy a couple of bottles of lighter Rogue beers and build up the yeast from the bottle bottom.
