Double Trouble Double IPA
This DIPA contains a lot of malt and low cohumulone hops to soothe your bitten tongue. The numerous hop additions and techniques spread hop flavor through the whole beer experience. The small dose of Chinook adds a raspy bitter edge that enhances the beer. Use a healthy yeast starter to ferment this bigger beer.
Style: Double IPA
Brew Type: All Grain
For 5.5 gallons at 1.087, 10 SRM, 99.9IBUs, 9.3 percent ABV
90-minute boil
Directions
Follow the Single-Infusion Brew Process.
Add the dry hops in secondary and age for at least 2 weeks.
TIP
If you keg your beer, you can add a second dose of dry hops in the keg to provide an even fresher hop aroma. To get truly insane fresh hop aroma, build yourself a “draft hopback.” Look online to learn how to build your own.
