The basic source for Hinduism is the ancient texts in Sanskrit; its main problem is that not many people are well versed in that language. This shortfall contributes to the misconceptions about Hinduism. In addition, while Hinduism rightly deserves its title as a religion of peace, like any other religion, there are pockets of extremism.
