Keep a Menstrual Diary
Menstrual diaries are primarily used to track periods, fertility, symptoms. A basic menstrual diary notes when your period and ends, and when your next period begins, but you can make complex and detailed as you want.
To start, you need only a monthly wall or desk calendar. mark the days of your period and note any days when you or pain.
If you want more detail about your cycle, such as when ovulate, add it to your PMS diary. For example, if your cycle erratic, veering from sixteen days to forty days down to twenty-you might not be ovulating during every cycle. You can track using your menstrual diary. All you have to do is take your body temperature every morning and write it down on your calendar. After three or four months, a pattern will emerge that can help figure out if and when you ovulate.
Your menstrual diary should include the following information:
What day did your period start?
What day did it end?
Did you feel any pain associated with your period?
How many tampons did you use each day?
Did you notice any discharge? When?
Did you miss work or social activities? On which days?
Did you take any medications for cramping or other symptoms?
Did you have any side effects or reactions to the medication?
Any other information that is relevant.
