The MCAT
The Medical College Admissions Test is required by all podiatry schools, some veterinary programs, and most medical schools to help them determine which applicants to accept.
In addition to the MCAT scores, the admissions officer or admissions team will consider your grades, extracurricular activities, and references, as well as your personal interview and any other requested information in making a decision about your application. The MCAT is given twice a year, in April and August, and there are application deadlines.
There are four separate sections to the exam and it is timed.
Writing Sample: consists of 1 question (time: 60 minutes)
Verbal Reasoning: consists of 65 questions (time: 85 minutes)
Physical Sciences: consists of 77 questions (time: 100 minutes)
Biological Sciences: consists of 77 questions (time: 100 minutes)
