PCAT

The Pharmacy College Admissions Test is developed by PsychCorp (a brand of Harcourt Assessment) to test candidates' academic ability and grasp of the scientific knowledge necessary for a successful pharmaceutical education and career. The PCAT is given three times each year, in January, June, and October. Most pharmacy schools require this test, which consists of 280 multiple-choice questions in five content areas:

  • Verbal

  • Skills

  • Reading comprehension

  • Biology

  • Chemistry

  • Quantitative ability (math)
