Have Fun!
The bottom line about practicing is that it will probably become your favorite time of day — or at least your second-favorite. Bring an attitude of adventure and fun with you when it's time to practice. Invent little games to teach yourself new techniques.
When you're done playing your harmonica, always rap the instrument (with the holes pointing down) several times against your leg or the palm of your hand to eliminate excess saliva and anything else that might have gotten inside. Be sure your harp is completely dry before you put it away.
Here are a couple of final thoughts on the subject:
Follow your interests wherever they might lead you and you'll maintain a high level of inspiration and perseverance.
Practice being in the same frame of mind you would want to be in when you're performing — focused, concentrated, adventurous, inspired and musical.
The next chapter will enter a realm where your imagination and technique combine to take flight — the world of improvisation.
