Another maddening way that different styles of tab vary is in their use of directional arrows to indicate a blow or a draw note. That's because some styles use an up arrow to indicate a blow note and a down arrow for draw. And, other styles use the up and down arrows to mean the exact opposite!

For the tablature in this book, an up arrow will indicate a blow note and a down arrow means a draw note as indicated in Figure 7-2 below.
