Left-and Right-Hand Coordination

People are generally impressed by the fast NASCAR driver, the fast track runner, and the fast-playing guitar master. The one thing all of these examples have in common is coordination. All physical skills are based on coordinated movements. Whether it's learning to walk with one foot after the other or learning to drive a car with a stick shift, all skill sets are a series of coordination. In guitar playing, you have to coordinate the left and right hand to the same strings at the same time. Seems easy enough. After you master that, then you have to learn to finger different notes on one string while simultaneously picking the same string and then moving through the other five strings. Whew! Sounds like a lot, but it is more fun than daunting.
