Diatonic Chords

If you go through a major scale, building chords on every note of the scale by using every other note, you get what are called diatonic chords — all the chords that naturally occur in the key.

In the key of C, these are C major 7, D minor 7, E minor 7, F major 7, G7, A minor 7, B minor 75, C major 7.

If you go through a harmonic minor scale, you get this sequence:
