Lesson Plan or Curriculum

It would be most helpful to monitor your progress as the lessons go on throughout the weeks, months, and years. Make your goals clear to your instructor, and have regular discussions to make sure you are both on the right track. The best way to do this is to have a notebook or journal to monitor all of your practice hours, homework assignments, and future projects if any. Years later, you'll be very impressed at how far you have come in your playing skills. It will also show your instructor how serious you are about guitar playing. It may sound like a tedious task to keep records of all the material you have learned, but the reward is a self-realization that you have become a better musician as well as a guitarist.
