Choosing the right teacher should be done with a very well thought-out approach. You must feel comfortable in a variety of ways with the instructor you select. Keep in mind that you will most likely see this person once a week for a few months or more, and you will be in a learning environment that may be smaller than you're accustomed to. It may be the first time you have one-on-one instruction on an instrument you actually like. The idea is to find someone who can teach you properly and someone you can respect and learn from.
