Welcome to The Everything® Guitar Scales Book with CD. The purpose of this book is to show you all the possibilities of musical scales that exist on the guitar. This book is intended to be a complete reference to how to play, understand, and find scales in every key, in every position on your guitar. To facilitate this, you'll spend most of your time looking at guitar fingerboard grids—you won't need to learn to read a note of music. Each visual diagram will tell you exactly where to place your fingers, which fingers to use, and the name of each scale.
The book is organized by the type of scales with each scale shown in all twelve keys, in four different locations on the guitar's fingerboard. You'll find scales for every situation, sound, and mood you can imagine. Though you'll learn some basics about what makes scales what they are, this book is focused on the scale shapes themselves, and not the theory behind him.
