Health's No Joke with Artichokes
Although artichokes are most commonly used in dips, salads, and entrées, raw artichokes make for a tasty addition to green-smoothie recipes such as this one. Artichokes pack a protective punch against disease, inflammation, and bone loss.
INGREDIENTS | YIELDS 3-4 CUPS
- 1 cup spinach
- 4 artichoke hearts
- 1 green onion
- 2 celery stalks
- 2 cups purified water
Place spinach, artichokes, onion, celery, and 1 cup of water in a blender and blend until thoroughly combined.
Add remaining 1 cup of water as needed while blending until desired consistency is achieved.
