Before the Test

On test day, you are understandably a little nervous. You really want this job and want to score well on the test. There are a few basic things you can to do help things go smoothly.

Allow extra time to find the testing site or to counter potential delays due to traffic, parking problems, or bad weather. Give yourself at least an extra half hour to get to the testing site. You want to arrive on time and in a calm state of mind. The wheels of bureaucracy grind slowly, but they have no pity. If you arrive late at the testing site, you may not be permitted to take the test.

When seated, listen carefully to all testing instructions. The more information you have about the examination process, the more confident you will feel. Listen carefully for instructions on how to fill in your answer sheet. If you fill in information incorrectly, the computer will not read your form correctly, and this may render your test invalid. If you do not follow the directions precisely, the computer may have difficulty reading your answers.
