Developing the proper protocols and approaching the paranormal with an attitude of respect and responsibility should be standard for all investigators. As people add to their knowledge of the supernatural realm, they should also be more careful in their procedures. Knowledge is power when dealing with the unknown; the more investigators know, the better researchers and ghost hunters they become. Aspiring investigators put themselves and others at risk when they don't bring a sense of seriousness and responsibility to their research.
