Baby Toys

The big world of baby toys beckons. There are so many toys out there — where do you start? First of all, the most important aspect of play with your baby is your time together. Interacting with baby teaches him so much about you and how to manage his expanding world. So look for toys you can enjoy together and that are age appropriate, Most toys are labeled well to show you which toy to choose according to age.

Crib, Car Seat, and Stroller Toys

One of the best toys for baby is one that can be secured with Velcro and hung on cribs, car seats, and strollers. The same toy can be fastened to a shopping cart seat, covering the icky bar that everyone has sneezed on and providing baby with a virtual command center of activities to make that trip through the store so much easier.

Wooden ABC Blocks

For centuries, wooden blocks have been favorite toys for little ones. They are easy to grasp, fun to build with, and generally quite safe for baby to use for play. Stacking them — and watching them fall — can teach baby about cause and effect, which is good for cognitive development.

Shopping Cart

Playing “store” is a fun way to get little legs up and running, so get baby her own shopping cart and enjoy watching her pick up toys and cart them all over the playroom. Use the cart to help clean up when it's time for a nap.
