Dear Ms. Smith,

At some point in her life, every woman has felt trapped in a mundane existence and wished for a magical transformation. In the modern age, we seek such magic in cosmetics, clothes shops, and fitness clubs. But in another age, a lucky few had much more potent magic at their disposal: benevolent fairies who bestowed favors upon the deserving.

CINDERELLA is a tale of one such young woman, good-hearted and full of inner beauty but trapped in a life of drudgery and ill-treatment from her vain and cruel stepmother and two stepsisters. She has no means to escape her sorrowful lot until her fairy godmother appears and uses her magic to reveal Cinderella's true beauty and worth to the world. Written with humor and poignancy, CINDERELLA weaves current social issues of class distinction, self-image, and self-worth into a timeless fantasy world populated by fallible humans and the supernatural beings who watch over them.

I am an award-winning writer with 17 years' experience in television, radio, newspaper and public relations. My book credits include The Everything Guide to Writing a Book Proposal (Adams Media, May 2005), The Everything Casino Gambling Book (Adams Media, September 2004), and The Birth Order Effect for Couples (Fair Winds Press, January 2004). At 65,342 words, CINDERELLA is my first novel.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Meg Schneider
