Asking How and When
Adverbs—whether in German or English—tell you something about the verb: how, where, or when something is done. Use wie to ask “how” and wann to ask “when.”
You have already used several adverbial phrases: Es geht Andreas gut. (Andreas is doing well.)
langsam (slowly)
leise (quietly)
laut (loudly)
schnell (fast)
