Possibility and Uncertainty

The subjunctive mood designates that which is possible, uncertain, desirable, doubtful, or contrary to fact, and is also used with indirect statements. In the subjunctive mood, the personal endings are alike for every tense for every verb. In order for you to state present tense, there are two forms of the verb in the subjunctive mood. Subjunctive I is constructed on the infinitive stem.
