Cardinal Numbers

In German, you do not capitalize numbers except for die Null (“the zero”), die Million (“the million”), and die Milliarde (“the billion”). You also always write numbers as one word.

When you attach -<emphasis>ens</emphasis> to the stem of the ordinal number, you make numbers that are used adverbially.
