Adjectives With and Without Endings
In Ich bin ein vorsichtiger Fahrer, the ending -er is attached to the base word “vorsichtig.” We call this adjective an attributive adjective, and we need to change the endings according to certain rules. The following adjectives are not declined:
Adjectives following the verb sein as a predicate adjective
Adjectives following werden (“to become, get”)
Adjectives that are derived from names of cities by attaching -
er An adjective used as an adverb

Exercise 2
Attributive adjectives precede the noun they modify. The endings of the attributive adjectives are determined by the gender, number, and case of the nouns they modify.
Pay close attention to the declined adjectives in the following German sentences and then translate.
