Players divide themselves into teams. Each team tries to get all the way around the board and into Cranium Central. On each player's first turn and on each purple Cranium planet, she gets to choose the box from which she will pick a card. After the player successfully completes an activity, she rolls the dice and moves to the next color. Players must stop at every planet. If the player is unsuccessful, she must remain in place and try again on her next turn. The next player to the left then takes a turn.

A team may get on the fast track if its players are successful on their first Cranium activity. The team to the right of the active team selects a card detailing the activity from the box matching the color of the space the team is on and reads the card out loud. The first team to reach Cranium Central and successfully complete the final activity wins.
