Hangman
Rating: 8+
Hangman is another popular brain teaser created especially for two players. You will need blank paper and a pen to play this game.
Think of any word imaginable. It must be a real word, and you must know that the other player is familiar with the word and its spelling. Draw out the number of blank spaces necessary to spell out the word. Next, draw a diagram that represents a gallows and a noose.
The game begins when your opponent guesses a letter that might be in the word. If it is, write it on the correct blank space. If the letter is not in the word, write the letter off to the side, and begin to draw in the hangman, by adding a circle to the noose to represent the head. Your opponent continues to guess letters until he can guess the entire word. For every wrong answer, you add one body part to the hangman: body, arms, legs, eyes (draw one at a time for the last three), and mouth.
If the body is complete before your opponent can guess the word, you are the winner. If your opponent guesses the word correctly before the body is complete, he is the winner and it is then his turn to think of a word.
