The following vocabulary list contains a number of French terms for different kinds of stores. If you get stuck when asking for a particular kind of store, you can always try asking for le magasin de…whatever it is you're trying to find; if that doesn't work, try describing the kinds of things you buy there. As a last resort, you can always try the English word and hope that it conveys the message.
