Use of Future with Si and Quand by Bruce Sallee and David Hebert

With sentences beginning with si (if) to refer to future events, the verb in the subordinate clause (the part following si) is in the present, and the main clause (which expresses the result) is in the future:

Instead of saying, “When I will go to Paris,” English speakers say, “When I go to Paris.” English relies on the word “when” and the present tense “go” in order to imply the event will take place in
