When the edges and tops of the forests start turning yellow and red, and the fields and grassy areas turn golden, you know that fall is approaching. It is often marked with warm, sunny days that are ideal for being outdoors harvesting what has been developing all summer. Fruits are ripening, seeds are maturing, and nuts are falling. When squirrels and chipmunks can be seen scurrying around trees gathering nuts and storing or burying them, it is a sure sign that another harvest season has arrived with yet another crop ready to be picked.
