Nutty Crumb Crust
Use as a crust or topping on baked fruit pies, cakes, or other desserts.
INGREDIENTS | MAKES 1 PIE CRUST
⅓ cup butter, softened
⅓ cup sugar
1 cup flour
½ cup ground nuts (hickory, beech, hazelnut, pecan)
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Cream butter and sugar.
3. Combine butter mixture with flour and nuts until mixture is crumbly. Set aside half of the mixture for topping.
4. Press lightly in buttered pie pan.
5. Bake for 10–12 minutes.
6. Cool.
