Lemony Horseradish

Shallots add a delicate sweetness to this sauce, which nicely balances the tart lemon and fiery horseradish. Serve with beef or seafood fondues.

INGREDIENTS | YIELDS ½ cup

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons shallot, finely chopped
  • 4 teaspoons prepared horseradish
  • 4 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  1. Combine the mayonnaise, horseradish, garlic powder, and shallot. For a stronger flavor, squeeze the excess vinegar out of the prepared horseradish.

  2. Stir in the lemon juice.

  3. Prepare just before serving and use immediately.
