Chocolate-Honey Fondue

In this recipe, unsweetened chocolate balances the extra sugar in the condensed milk. For extra flavor, serve with crushed peanuts for dipping the chocolate-coated banana slices.

INGREDIENTS | SERVES 2

  • 4 bananas
  • 2 teaspoons liquid honey
  • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon honey liqueur
  • ⅔ cup sweetened condensed milk
  1. Peel the bananas and slice. Refrigerate until it is time to use the bananas in the fondue.

  2. Combine the unsweetened chocolate, condensed milk, and honey in a metal bowl placed on top of a saucepan half-filled with simmering water.

  3. Melt the chocolate on low heat, stirring frequently and making sure that it doesn't boil. Remove from the heat and stir in the honey liqueur.

  4. Transfer the fondue mixture to the fondue pot and set on the burner. Keep warm on low heat.

  5. Serve with the banana slices for dipping.

Which Fondue Pot to Use?

When it comes to creating a romantic atmosphere to enjoy chocolate fondue by, nothing beats dessert fondue pots. Made of ceramic and with a single candle for the heat source, most will conveniently hold up to 2 cups of chocolate fondue.
