Basic Chocolate Chip Fondue for Two
This recipe yields 1 cup of chocolate fondue, which makes a nice, light romantic dessert for 2 people.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 2
- 1¼ cups chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons liqueur
- ⅓ cup light cream
- 3 cups fresh fruit for dipping
Combine the chocolate chips and cream in a metal bowl and place on top of a saucepan half-filled with simmering water.
Melt the chocolate on low to medium-low heat, stirring frequently and making sure that it doesn't boil. Stir in the liqueur.
Transfer the fondue mixture to the fondue pot and set on the burner. Keep the fondue warm on low heat.
Serve with fresh fruit slices for dipping. Use dipping forks to spear the pieces of fruit and draw them through the warm chocolate.
