Almond Orange Fondue
This makes 1 cup of chocolate fondue, perfect for a romantic dessert after a main meal.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 2
- 3 tangerines
- ¼ teaspoon grated orange peel
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate
- 2 teaspoons orange liqueur
- ¾ cup whipping cream
- 4 almond cookies
- ¼ teaspoon almond extract
Peel the tangerines, separate into segments, and pat dry on paper towels. Break the chocolate into pieces.
Combine the whipping cream, chocolate, almond extract, and grated orange peel in a metal bowl and place on top of a saucepan half-filled with simmering water.
Melt the chocolate on low to medium-low heat, stirring frequently and making sure that it doesn't boil. Stir in the orange liqueur.
Transfer the fondue mixture to the fondue pot and set on the burner. Keep the fondue warm on low heat.
Serve with the tangerines and almond cookies for dipping.
