Instant Mocha
Can't find coffee cream? Use regular cream and add one tablespoon of instant coffee to the chocolate mixture during cooking.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 4
- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate
- 2 medium oranges, peeled and sliced
- ¾ cup coffee cream
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- Biscuits or biscotti
- 1 can pineapple chunks, drained
Break the semisweet chocolate into pieces.
Combine the coffee cream and chocolate in a metal bowl and place over a saucepan half-filled with simmering water.
Melt the chocolate on low to medium-low heat, stirring constantly and not allowing the mixture to boil.
When the chocolate is melted, transfer the fondue mixture to the fondue pot and set on the burner. Keep the fondue warm on low heat. Stir in the nutmeg.
Serve the fondue with pineapple chunks, sliced oranges, and biscuits or fruit-flavored biscotti for dipping.
