Toasted Bread Cubes
Use these flavorful bread cubes in place of regular bread cubes when you want to add a bit of extra flavor to a cheese fondue.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 4–6
- 1 loaf whole wheat bread, sliced
- ½ cup melted butter or olive oil
- ¼ cup caraway seeds
Brush 1 side of each bread slice with 1 teaspoon of the melted butter and sprinkle with ½ teaspoon of the caraway seeds. Broil the bread on that side.
Repeat with the remaining butter and caraway seeds on the other side; broil.
Cut the toasted bread into rectangular cubes approximately 2 inches long and 1 inch wide.
