Guittard Fondue

Serves 6

1 pound bittersweet Guittard Chocolate

⅔ cup heavy cream

Italian ladyfingers

Dried papaya spears

Fresh cherries

This gold rush-era California chocolate company was founded by a Frenchman and still makes Euro pean-style chocolate.

  • Chop chocolate into small pieces. Combine with cream in a saucepan.

  • Over low heat, melt chocolate into cream. Stir constantly until mixture is smooth and thick.

  • Pour chocolate fondue into a fondue pot and place over heating source on lowest setting. Have guests dip ladyfingers and fruit into chocolate and discuss flavors.
