Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate Fondue
Serves 8
The best way to serve this fondue is with gravy ladles and bowls.
Combine milk chocolate and cream in a saucepan over low heat. Warm, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and stir in semi-sweet and white chocolate chips.
At this point, mixture can be divided over 1 or more fondue pots and placed on heat-safe table pads. Allow guests to ladle a small amount of fondue, including chips, into individual serving bowls.
Pass a platter of angel food cake cubes and sugar cookies for dunking.
In the Chips
Supermarket shelves boast peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips, mint chips, orange chips and several shades of chocolate chips. Candy chips melt very slowly — they're designed to hold their shape — which makes them tricky for fondue. It's best to use them as flavor chips in a smooth fondue of melted chocolate.
