Don't be afraid to add an extra spritz of lemon or clove of garlic to this dish.
Combine chickpeas, tahini, water, and garlic in a food processor. Process with a metal blade until beans are chopped and mixture is blended.
With processor running, slowly pour olive oil through the top chute. Turn processor off, scrape sides of bowl. Add lemon juice, cumin, parsley, hot sauce, and a small amount of salt and pepper.
Pulse until mixture forms a smooth paste. Adjust seasonings to taste.
