Ingredients

6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut in strips

4 cups broccoli florets

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 clove fresh garlic, minced

½ teaspoon all-purpose seasoning

2 tablespoons ground ginger

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup water

3 tablespoons hoisin sauce

3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar

3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

¼ cup peanuts

1 teaspoon cornstarch

The kung pao chicken found in shopping malls around the world is high in fat because it uses cheap dark meat chicken and is fried. This meal provides the flavor without the fat.

  • Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
