Bonding with Other Fishermen
Camaraderie among fishermen is legendary. If you spend a lot of time fishing with the same people, you develop a bond that is hard to break. From children fishing with parents and grandparents to best friends sharing a boat, fishing makes strong relationships.
Everyone wants to belong to a group and large numbers of fishing clubs have been formed to fill this need. From bass clubs that hold tournaments every month to carp clubs that stock and fish their own waters, clubs can be found to meet every fishing desire. And you can have a lot of fun while making friends and filling this basic human need.
There are more than 2,800 bass fishing clubs affiliated with the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society. Membership in those clubs totals about 50,000 fishermen in six countries and most states in the United States, with numbers growing.
Consider joining a club. You can learn from others in it, share expenses, and make lifetime friends. Or find a fishing partner if clubs don't appeal. Even a pair of fishermen has twice as much brainpower to figure out how to catch a fish.
