Everyone's safety on the road depends on obeying the law, maintaining vehicles, being prepared, and never driving while impaired. However, someday you may be driving and either witness or come upon the recent aftermath of an accident. Or, even worse, you may be involved in an accident yourself. You may be uninjured, but others may have mild to serious injuries, or there may even be fatalities. Steam could be rising from vehicles, there could be a smell of radiator fluid and gasoline, or there could even be smoke and fire. Some accident scenes are gruesome and shocking, but by being prepared you can quickly assess the scene and intervene to help the injured, prevent further injuries, and possibly avert deaths.
