Although it won't keep your baby safe, a digital music player, like an iPod, can be a fun gadget to have. Many strollers even include built-in speakers now, so you can hook up your music player and play your baby's favorite songs as you go for a walk. Don't go overboard, though. Remember that there are many things more important to the health and well-being of both your baby and your bank account.
